We would like to pass on a massive thank you to all the parents who helped with our Year 8 Camps and Year 7 EOTC programmes. Whether it was supervising kayaking, encouraging students as they walked up hills, helping with rafting and abseiling, putting up and taking down tents, serving meals and doing dishes, driving vans and packing luggage - all your contributions were greatly appreciated by students and staff alike. Without your help and support these events would not be able to go ahead so once again a massive thank you from us. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t always kind to us and some of the Year 7 trips were postponed. We will do our best to reschedule these in Term 4 if possible.
Constable Tanya has been taking Digital Citizenship lessons with both our Year 7 and Year 8 classes. These lessons remind students of the importance of keeping themselves and others safe while online and outline the requirements of the Harmful Digital Communications Act.

Constable Tanya has been taking Digital Citizenship lessons with both our Year 7 and Year 8 classes. These lessons remind students of the importance of keeping themselves and others safe while online and outline the requirements of the Harmful Digital Communications Act.
Key themes are:
- not connecting with or giving personal information to people they don’t know
- behaving appropriately, and not sending or posting harmful or offensive messages
- Making good decisions online because posts and messages are potentially permanent
Please talk with your children about these messages and keep an eye on what they are doing when online especially on Social Media. We spend a lot of valuable time trying to resolve problems stemming from online chat groups that students are on outside of school time.
We have a busy three weeks to end Term 1 including Whānau Conferences on Thursday 4 April and Tuesday 9 April. Keep an eye out for the bookings email; we look forward to seeing many of you there. We also have the long Easter weekend from Friday 29 March - Tuesday 2 April. School will be open again on Wednesday 3 April.
Have a happy and safe weekend.
